How far in advance can I purchase a dining ticket?

Tickets for each calendar month are released on the first day of the previous month. For example, tickets for February are released on January 1.

How much does a ticket to Journeyman cost?

The price varies throughout the week. Currently, the menu ticket price is between $90 and $100 per person. Special events may be priced differently. The menu price includes service but is subject to meals tax at the time of purchase.

Why tickets instead of reservations?

Making the reservation system more efficient will allow us to focus on ensuring the highest level of experience, while at the same time offering the best possible price.

What does the price of one ticket include?

Your ticket includes our evening's tasting menu and our hospitality. You may choose to add a supplementary wine pairing. State and municipal taxes are added at the time of purchase.

Do I have to order wine in advance?

No, you can decide when you dine - please choose “ala carte drinks” at checkout. We have an exciting and unconventional wine list, and offer a select list of beers, cocktails, and fine spirits.

What should I do if I'm running late for my booking?

Please call us at 617-718-2333 to let us know if you are running late.

Is there any kind of service charge?

There is not. Hospitality is included in all our prices, including that of the tickets and the pairings. Our staff are paid a salary and are part of a revenue sharing scheme that takes the place of the "variable compensation" created by a traditional tipping model.

Can I get a refund once purchased? Can I exchange my ticket for a different night?

No. Just like a sporting event, concert, or theater ticket all sales are final.

Can I give my ticket away or sell it?

Yes. The ticket is completely transferable, however, selling tickets for more than face value may be illegal in your area. Anyone who purchases a ticket from other guests should request both a printed ticket from the seller and an email confirmation from Journeyman.

Can I just give my ticket away instead of transferring it on this site?

We request that you transfer the ticket on the site or call the restaurant and ask us to do it for you to ensure the smoothest possible experience for the recipient of your ticket.

How many tickets may I purchase for my party?

Journeyman dining room seats parties of up to 6 guests. To book a larger party please email us at eat@journeymanrestaurant.com and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Please note that we may not always have space for larger parties because our dining room is very small!

Do you take walk-ins?

We do, if there is an available table. The price for walk-ins is $115 per person.
